Most projects will require a level of surveying to produce drawings of the existing site and/or building. On larger sites a Topographic Survey may be required to assess existing levels, services etc.
Once the survey information has been produced sketch proposals will be produced in line with the clients brief. A further visit with the clients will be arranged to discuss the proposals in further details.
Once the design has been agreed Planning drawings and necessary documents will then be produced ready for submission to the relevant Local Authority.
Upon receipt of Planning Approval (If Required) the next stage of the process will be to produce detailed construction drawings. These drawings will outline the proposed materials to be used within the construction. At this stage it may be necessary to engage the services of other consultants such as a Structural Engineer. The consultants required will be discussed at the initial meeting. Once these drawings have been approved by Building Control they can then be used to for obtaining quotes from chosen contractors.
